Captain Peter Magill · Director
Peter Magill spent eleven years in the Royal Air Force flying the Blackburn Beverly, Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer and Bristol Britannia until leaving in 1975 to fly for IAS Cargo, Air Europe, Inter European Airways, Airtours International, GoFly, easyJet and flyGlobespan on the DC8, Boeing 737 classic and NG, Boeing 757 and the Airbus 320 family. While he amassed 20,000 hours, he enjoyed a varied background in airline management ranging from a Flight Safety Officer to deputy to the Director Flight Operations.
Whilst a Technical Pilot waiting for aeroplanes to be ready for post-maintenance and pre-acceptance air tests, he started a part-time consultancy writing Minimum Equipment Lists for airline and private clients. This lead to commissions for other airline manuals, under the requirements of the UKCAA, the JAA and the FAA.
Bermudan registered operators
In 2007 he was enticed to develop his consultancy full time with a contract in Saudi Arabia, which led to his converting a private operation in Bahrain to a JAR-style AOC and gave him time to build a large portfolio of Bermudan registered operators. Most of AIT’s clients are very private and AIT enjoys a close working relationship with them.
Peter keeps his JAR ATPL licence current on the Boeing 737 300-900. AIT enjoys the support of first-rate consultants who specialise in Flight Planning, Aircraft Performance, Special Rules Airspace navigation, Carbon Emission Trading, Quality and Safety Management System, Flight Safety, FOQA, Aviation Security, Pilot Training, Cabin Crew, Training, Maintenance, Ground Operations, Crewing and Rostering and Airline Management.

Starting an Airline
AIT has been involved in many airline start-ups. It works effectively with airline management, timely and discretely, providing a wide range of services, at all phases of an airline’s development.
Support to Airlines and Operators
Both short-term needs and regular commitments are welcome. Whether you are a new venture, or requiring a new process or procedure, or seeking to out-source labour and time-intensive tasks, AIT can reduce your costs either by taking the load entirely off your shoulders or by providing guidance to your employees or team members.
Bermuda article 85 approval
AIT has enabled many operators with Bermudan registered aeroplanes gain their Article 85 Approval. Most of these operators have selected the DCA’s Alternative Provider path.
IS-BAO Registration
Those who selected the route of IS-BAO registration still need an Operations Manual and AIT’s manual is approved for this purpose.
Helicopter Clients
AIT also offers its services to rotary-wing operators.
