AIT provides consulting for Private, Business and Airline operators in these key areas:
Minimum Equipment Lists (MELs)
If your aeroplane has a Master MEL, and if you come under the AN(OT)O – Bermuda and the Cayman Islands for example – you will need an Approved Operator’s MEL. The MEL will have to be a proper one: no ‘in accordance with regulations’, or dashes, or *** in it. (O)s and (M)s must be included. See the latest Letter to Operators in the Flight Operations section of the DCA’s website. AIT can produce one for you and keep it up-to-date. Contact us for prices.
Cayman Islands Article 85 Approval
The Cayman Islands’ CAA has decided to outsource its Article 85 Approval process to IBAC via IS-BAO, by requiring VP-C operators to obtain a Certificate of Registration from the IBAC Standards Board. On applying to IBAC, through a national branch of IBAC, you will receive a skeleton for an operations manual. However, this skeleton requires a lot of fleshing out and will need even more when the proposed changes to the required Part 91 and Part 125 procedures that flow from the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order are implemented.
